		<description>The Page State Performance and viewstate settings have come in and out of the DNN Host menu... early installs of DNN 5.x will find that it was removed/missing from that Host Settings page, so you&#039;ll need to edit directly in the database, or use the script in this article in the SQL window to make the change. Later versions of DNN 5.x (5.5 an up, possibly earlier (?)) will find that it is back on the Host Settings page again as it should be.

the warnings over the odd actions of third party modules and some core is definitely a concern, but it seems that you should try it out and test on a case-by-case basis. We&#039;ve seen that sometimes there are login or state persistence problems, but many times, sites run just fine with the setting as Memory.</description>
