This is because I did not set to redirect other extensions to .aspx as we do have other pages using .htm, .html etc. If you wish to redirect other extension, you will need to set it in IIS or web.config (IIS7+). Also, because .html and .htm are static file, which by default does not handled by DotNetNuke but .Net staticHandle. So, in order to redirect static pages, you will need to add "httpRedirect" handle in your iis and the following statement into your web.config: http://www.iis.net/ConfigReference/system.webServer/httpRedirect

George, i tried your site with this URL:
http://www.goeatout.com.my/bla.htm and that seems not to work. Get a DNN 404 error in steat of a GoEatOut error page

We’ve used exactly this implementation.

It has one drawback. It does not return a 404, but it returns a 302 status. Not good for SEO. Any thoughts on that?

The Page State Performance and viewstate settings have come in and out of the DNN Host menu… early installs of DNN 5.x will find that it was removed/missing from that Host Settings page, so you’ll need to edit directly in the database, or use the script in this article in the SQL window to make the change. Later versions of DNN 5.x (5.5 an up, possibly earlier (?)) will find that it is back on the Host Settings page again as it should be.

the warnings over the odd actions of third party modules and some core is definitely a concern, but it seems that you should try it out and test on a case-by-case basis. We’ve seen that sometimes there are login or state persistence problems, but many times, sites run just fine with the setting as Memory.

The name is depends on what “Skin” that you have as different developers may put that name they preferred.

If you’re using MinimalExtropy, there should be 5-8 skins’ ascx inside the folder. e.g. index.ascx, index 1024.ascx etc

Call me clueless but I can’t find the Skin.ascx.

This is not the Skins.ascx is it? If I am using MinimalExtropy should I put it in MinimalExtropy.ascx? Or the ViewArticle.ascx?

Out of interest, have you got the 404 error page working with Ifinity URLMaster? I tried to do this a while ago and seemed to remember having issues with it…
